Akira Contracts is a Mechanical & Electrical Subcontractor that was founded 4 years ago. We specialise in suppying labour to many large scale projects throughout Ireland, UK & Europe for our valued clients.
We currently have a workforce of over 120+ skilled tradesmen that we can mobilise to assist your project needs.
In addition to the supply of labour, we can also price full mechanical & electrical packages regardless of size!

Matthew Ferry – Director
My journey in the recruitment field started by assisting people with finding employment opportunities, creating and altering their CV’s and helping them to prepare for interviews. I felt so happy from seeing how I could positively change people’s work life balance and financial situation that I knew recruitment was going to be my life sector. Dealing with multiple different industries over the years has equipped me with a robust skill set and extensive knowledge. I have honed my abilities in sourcing exceptional talent, making thorough assessments, and conducting in-depth interviews. By staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and recruitment strategies, I continuously refine my approach to deliver the best outcomes for our clients and candidates. Paddy Harkin – Director
Paddy brings over 15 years of experience as an Electrical Manager, having successfully led teams on some of Ireland’s largest and most complex industrial projects. His portfolio includes major works for Intel, Eli Lilly, Amazon Data Centres, and the Tarbert and Ringsend Power Stations, among many others.
Hands-on by nature, Paddy doesn’t just manage from a distance, he works alongside site crews, staying closely involved in day-to-day operations. Since joining Akira in March, he has been actively overseeing five live projects, ensuring standards, safety, and delivery remain consistently high.
Paddy has also strengthened the business with a trusted network of highly skilled electricians and supervisors he has worked with throughout his career. Their professionalism and reliability have already made a strong impression with our valued clients.

Alan Harley – Contracts Manager
Alan brings extensive experience in managing large-scale industrial electrical projects across Europe. Known for his strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and uncompromising commitment to quality, he is a natural fit for Akira’s growing operations.
As Akira continues to expand delivery across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe, Alan plays a key role in overseeing project execution, coordinating closely with clients, and ensuring the high standards that define the Akira Contracts brand are consistently achieved.

Kieran Lafferty – Mechanical Construction Manager
We’re proud to have Kieran leading Akira Contracts’ Mechanical Division as Construction Manager. Over recent years, he has successfully delivered and handed over four pharmaceutical projects across Ireland, consistently performing on demanding, high-spec industrial sites.
With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Kieran is known for getting results, building strong client relationships, and keeping projects moving, even when challenges arise. Resourceful, driven, and solutions-focused, he has a reputation for achieving outcomes where others see obstacles, earning the trust and respect of clients along the way.
Under Kieran’s leadership, we’ve assembled a hand-picked team of some of the strongest mechanical professionals in the market, delivering exceptional results across our projects.
